MME is accessible by members of the Business Administrator (metadata_editor) user group through the following methods.
- Clicking on the MME icon on the Apparity ribbon. This method will take the user directly to the map of the file that was opened and active when the MME icon on the Apparity ribbon is clicked.

- Accessing the Apparity Inventory Management System (AIMS):
- Managed/Registered: Click the MME icon to the left of the entry in the main grid.
- Unregistered: Navigate to Group Details > File List and click the MME icon to the left of the entry
