Q: What is the Application Name?
All EUCAs onboarded into Apparity will be provided with one unique Application Name, and all subsequent versions created from this onboarded EUCA will be listed under the one Application Name. Application Name will group all versions of the same file together.
Q: How do I update metadata information?
To update metadata information, you can search for the EUCA in the AIMS using any of the available filters. Once identified, click on the View Details icon next to the EUCA entry. From the Registration Details tab, click on the pencil icon next to the Edit Details button. The Edit Metadata screen will appear, and you will be able to edit any of the metadata fields entered during onboarding. To submit the changes, you must enter a comment.
Q: How do I see a history of the updates made to the metadata?
To view the history of all metadata changes to a particular EUCA, you can search for the EUCA in AIMS using any of the available filters. Once identified, click on the View Details icon next to the EUCA, which will display the EUCA details. By clicking on the View Field History button, you can see an overview of all metadata changes made to that particular EUCA. It will display the metadata field that was changed, what the old value was, what the new value is, and the comments that were entered.
Q: What is the difference between Unregistered and Managed / Registered?
AIMS separates EUCAs into two different categories:
- Unregistered: EUCAs were identified through the Discovery process
- Managed / Registered: EUCAs that were either onboarded into Apparity or EUCAs that were manually registered through AIMS
- Managed: Files that have been both added as a record in the centralized inventory and are also being automatically controlled by Apparity (e.g., version control, change management control).
- Registered: Files that have been identified as being in-scope of the program and have been added as a record in the centralized inventory (i.e., collected metadata information). These files are not being automatically controlled by Apparity (e.g., version control, change management control).
Users can toggle between the two categories by clicking on either section.
