Q: What is considered a Schema Change vs. a Non-Schema Change?
Versions that appear as Schema Changes will include any of the following changes:
- Add/delete/modification of any type of query
- Add/delete of tables
- Structural changes to existing tables (i.e., column insert)
All other changes will be designated as Non-Schema Changes.
Q: What type of changes will Apparity show in the comparison view?
Apparity will track and monitor query changes and table structure changes. These types of changes will result in a new Schema Change version appearing in the File History window. When comparing versions with Schema Changes, Apparity will highlight the Schema Changes between the two versions.
For all other change types (i.e., add/modify data in an existing table, modify reports, create a new form, etc.), Apparity will recognize that the Access DB changed and will display a Non-Schema version in the File History, but it will not be able to show the specific changes that were made.
