The Apparity Inventory Management System (AIMS) is one of the web-based components of the Apparity product suite. It is intuitively designed to provide key insights into the Managed/Registered inventory of critical files, as well as Unregistered files (those identified during Discovery).
The Inventory Listing page in AIMS is divided into two sections: Managed/Registered and Unregistered. Managed/Registered files are registered and tracked by Apparity. Unregistered files are all of the items that were picked up in a Discovery scan but have not yet been registered or onboarded. To view the associated inventory items for each designation, simply click on the corresponding blue section at the top of the inventory listing. Users can switch back and forth with ease.

Users can view the number of items in the top left of the inventory listing. By hovering over the 
icon, the listing count will display, as well as an indication of which filters are currently applied and which file types are selected. To apply a filter, simply click on the three dots to the right of a column header, hover over Filter menu option, check off the key filtering attributes and click on Filter.

Each column header is derived from metadata fields that are organization-specific. In addition to sorting/filtering the inventory using the three dots to the right of each column, a user can also determine which columns to view.

Furthermore, users can order the columns by dragging the column headers in the desired order. Customized grouping can be applied by grabbing any header and placing it in the grouping area (gray bar above the headers). Any changes to the view can be saved by clicking on Remember Grid Settings. The Expand All and Collapse All buttons are designed help users navigate the inventory screen by collapsing the inventory listings to the applied filter groupings. To go back to the default inventory view, simply click on Clear All. Users can also export the list in an Excel file by clicking on Export.

Some configurations have organization-defined Views and Tasks, which appear alongside the grid action buttons (above). These can be used to filter the inventory for specific items based on a pre-defined filter set.
To review or modify the metadata of a particular file, simply click on the View/Edit Details icon to the left of the inventory entry (the icon that looks like a list). Further details about modifying the metadata are provided in the Managed/Registered Inventory section.

The Model Map Explorer (MME) is a tool that automatically analyses information collected from the Discovery scans to present a graphical representation of the interconnectedness between EUCAs. MME can be accessed from the AIMS inventory via the icon to the left of the inventory entry (the icon that looks like a tree diagram).
