The Free Trial leverages a basic End User Computing (EUC) application schema to start. This means that the Apparity Cloud inventory, which is designed to be flexible and inventory anything, will act as an EUC inventory. Each item in the inventory is an EUC. Each EUC has a subset of information that can be captured about it as default:
- Basic Application Information
- Unique Name: Name of the EUC; cannot be the same as any other EUC in the inventory. If the item is in the inventory becuase it was populated via Discovery scan, Apparity will generate the Unique Name based on the File Name (or the common part of the name shared by multiple copies of the same file).
- Unique ID: Apparity-generated ID associated with the item
- Description: An outline of the EUC
- Purpose: A description of what the EUC is specifically used for
- Lifecycle Information
- Lifecycle Stage: Denotes the status of the EUC in terms of design, approval, development, retirement, etc.
- Stakeholder Information
- Owner: Person responsible for everyday maintenance of the EUC
- Validator: Person responsible for overseeing the EUC
- Assessor: Person capable of performing Inherent Risk Information to determine EUC scope
- Department: Section of the orgnanization that maintains/uses/is responsible for the EUC
- Business Line Manager: Person aligned with the department that is also tasked with overseeing EUC directives
- Inherent Risk Information
- Frequency of Usage: Captures how often outputs of the EUC are relied upon (speaks to whether the file is rolled-over and used continuously or leveraged for one-time use)
- Financial Impact: Captures the impact the EUC has on an organization's financials
- Regulatory Impact: Captures the potential regulatory impact the EUC has on the organization
- Reputational Impact: Captures the potential reputational impact the EUC has on the organization
- Structural Complexity: Captures the complexity of the file's structure (determined by an algorithm based off the file attributes as determined through the Discovery process)
- Inherent Risk Score: Numeric score given to the EUC based on previous answers
- Inherent Risk Level: Risk level associated with the aforementioned numeric score
- Controls Assessment Information
- Has Duty Segregation? Indicates whether the duties associated with EUC management have been segregated properly
- Has Change Control? Indicates whether the EUC is subject to change control checks and validatoins
- Has User Documentation? Indicates whether or not documentation has been created to support document maintenance and proper use
- Has User Access Review? Indicates whether the EUC is subject to access control checks and validatoins
- Calculated Controls Score: Numeric score given to the EUC based on previous answers
- Controls Sufficiency Level: Controls sufficiency level associated with the aforementioned numeric score
- Overall Risk Information
- Calculated Overall Risk Score: A combination of Inherent Risk and Calculated Controls Scores
- Calculated Overall Risk Tier: Risk Tier level associated with the aforementioned numeric score
- Reviews and Audits Information
- Ability to add reviews/audits to each record as needed
- Attestations Information
- Ability to add attestations/validations to each record as needed
